Adopt-A-Road-NGhana.\u201d A new project to help the present road conditions in Ghana, presented by two Ghanaian NGO\u2019s, BringBackHope2Ghana and The Aaron Mavel Foundation collaboration, that will allow outside support to donate toward the construction and maintenance of new roads in Ghana. Donations will pay for labor, equipment, pavement, drainage and maintenance cost, allowing individuals, families, corporations, organizations and associations to be receive a sign bearing their name on that stretch of road for 5 years.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Mr. Amoako-Atta, speaking at the swearing-in ceremony of the Ministry of Roads and Highways’ nine-member Ministerial Advisory Board in Accra, provided insightful statistics regarding Ghana’s road network. As per his statement, the country boasts a substantial 72,000 kilometers (44,739 miles) of roads. However, the current state of these roads indicates that only 23% have been asphalted, while 39% can be categorized as being in good condition. On the other hand, a significant portion of 61% falls under the classification of fair, poor, or nonexistent.<\/p>

With Ghana celebrating its 60th anniversary, it becomes evident that our road infrastructure is lagging behind when compared to international standards. This realization calls for urgent action to address this disparity and propel the nation forward in terms of road development and modernization.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Drawing upon their extensive expertise and invaluable experiences, these organizations have joined forces to address the issue at hand by proposing a mutually beneficial solution. Every road paving plan is different \u2014 the cost of paving a road depends on where it\u2019s located, how wide it is, and several other factors \u2014 however, a good rule of thumb is that every mile of road costs at least 1.5 million Ghana Cedi\u2019s<\/b> to pave, taking into account labor, equipment, and pavement expenses.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
