Fort Lauderdale Community Center

We are the Center of This Community!

We’re more than a place to play, we’re a beacon of hope, a refuge in the storm to so many young people, families, individuals and disable veterans who are homeless, and at-risk.

A steadfast pillar for 22 years to every soul who’s ever called this place home. The pandemic may have tried to silence us, but with unwavering resolve and your generous support, we are rising again.

Our difference?
We listen, then help provide that need with heartfelt guidance, a lifeline to everyone in our community facing everyday life challenges, and to let them know we see them and they are not a lone.

To accelerate our recovery, we’ve launched Hope’s VirtuArt Market, an online store brimming with creativity and purpose! Every purchase directly funds our vital client services and community programs. We invite you to explore Hope’s VirtuArt Market, and together, we can rebuild, reignite, and ensure people get the help they need!

                                Our Mission
Eliminating ignorance, homelessness and unemployment in disadvantage communities with and emphasis on disable Veterans. And empowering our youth, especially our young women and girls, to discover their dreams, pursue their passions, and find their future!

Robert always felt a part of his identity was missing. Growing up in the US, he often wondered about his ancestral roots. After years of curiosity, Robert decided to take a DNA test, offered by the Community Center to staff during Black History Month in 2018, which revealed that his heritage traced back to Ghana, West Africa. This revelation sparked a deep desire in him to visit his ancestral home and reconnect with his roots. Read The Whole Story….

EMPOWERING WOMEN                                AND GIRLS IN GHANA

The scorching Accra sun beats down on the back of Fastina as she balances a hefty bowl of items to sell on her head. Her baby Nana is  rapped securely to her back. Fasti is just one of many young women carving out a living amidst the honking horns and exhaust fumes as she tries to make money for her family. READ THE REST OF  HER STORY
